Good Day!

I am a physician, I treat the processing of instruments with great caution and always very carefully monitor the observance of the rules by the craftsmen. We all know very well how easy it is to catch an infection and how difficult it is to get rid of it later.

First time I went to the salon, which is within walking distance from my work and was guided only by the convenience of the location, without reading the reviews.

Until this moment, I had never done a trimmed manicure, to be honest, I was afraid of cutting my cuticle and in general I was afraid of pain and my hands were shaking. At home I use a special cuticle remover from Sali Hensen and I feel great, the cuticle grows slowly and I have nothing to remove with sharp objects, as I thought.

For comparison, I am attaching a photo of my manicure, which I did myself and at home. Naturally, it was a vacation period when I can afford such a length.

The photo shows that the cuticle looks quite well-groomed and neat.

Let's return to the master. The girl, about twenty years old, has apparently been working in this industry for about a year. Before starting work, she told me all the stages of instrument processing (knowing that I was a doctor). She voiced her every move, handled her hands carefully, neatly and slowly, the entire manicure took about two hours including coating, considering that there was no design, just gel polish. Overall, I liked everything, but after a couple of days, discomfort appeared, hangnails, dryness, I had to resort to moisturizing the cuticle, which I had never done before.

Second trip to the salon:

I don’t know what prompted me to go to the same master a second time...

The girl was clearly having a bad day. She forgot about the treatment and made obvious mistakes, which for an ordinary person is a completely normal manicure, but for a doctor it’s a big nightmare, horror and a desire to raise a scandal. Instruments that have touched your hands at least once should be discarded into the solution; they should not be returned to the sterile table and transferred to another client. Needless to say, this time the manicure turned out more beautiful, but she cut my cuticle. It’s clear that I will never step foot in this salon again.

The cost of a manicure in this establishment is from 900 rubles to 1100. Just a manicure - approximately 400 rubles.

Third salon.

  • Scrubbing the skin of the hands;
  • Hand massage;
  • Tools in craft paper, each client has their own individual set.

Good, high-quality work, and in this case you know what you are giving your hard-earned money for. Expensive of course, but tolerable

In between applying gel polish, I do my nails at home, continuing to use Sali Hensen. I don’t see much of a difference in trimmed and untrimmed manicures; it’s true that my nails look well-groomed and beautiful, maybe because my cuticles don’t grow too much. The only huge plus in a manicure in a salon is the thoroughness of the actions, all irregularities are removed, the side ridges are trimmed, and the shape is given.

Remember, the main thing is that the tools are processed correctly and, unfortunately, you have to pay for quality! Very rarely in apartments at home, everything is processed well and goes through all stages.

Thank you all for your Attention, Ratings and Comments! See you again!

A new hairstyle and hair color, shopping, manicure, all this not only lifts the mood of the female sex, but also increases self-esteem, you want to always love yourself as beautiful. But visiting salons every day is not only expensive, but also a waste of time, so many young ladies prefer to restore beauty themselves. And if you can ask a friend to dye your hair, then a manicure is an intimate thing, and if you do it, do it conscientiously. So what should you choose? Do you prefer home or salon manicure?

Home manicure - cons

  • Lack of practice and skill. The first few times you will have to sweat on your hands, cut yourself a little and cut off the excess.
  • You will have to buy all the necessary things. For a quality manicure you will need a good nail file, orange sticks, a manicure extractor, scissors and clippers, varnishes, etc. All this will cost a pretty penny.

Home manicure - advantages

  • Calm environment, home, as they say, is always good and comfortable. Comfortable pose and clothing, as well as time to think about what color polish you want this time. In the salon, such decisions need to be made faster.
  • Free service every minute, that is, even if you just need to file a nail, you are always at your disposal, unlike a salon specialist, with whom you need to make an appointment, wait in line, and even spend time and money on travel to the salon.

Salon manicure - cons

  • Expensive. This is perhaps the most significant factor when choosing whether to choose a home or salon manicure.
  • Wasting time on the road, waiting in line, not being able to ask the master to come at the moment when his help is needed.

Salon manicure – advantages

  • Top-level quality, especially if you choose the perfect craftsman who will fully meet all your requirements.
  • Choice of any manicure technique (nail painting), since salon masters are fluent in them. And the salon can offer a larger selection of colors and patterns than you can purchase for home use.

Every girl has faced this choice at least once. Should you entrust your hands to a master or restore your beauty yourself? In fact, there is no definite answer to this question; everyone finds the best option for her depending on her personal capabilities and preferences.

And we will look at the pros and cons of home and salon manicure.

So, pros manicure at home.

  • You are absolutely sure that the instruments are sterile, which eliminates the risk of getting an infection or getting blood poisoning.
  • The procedure will not be painful or unpleasant, since you are in complete control of your actions.
  • Low cost of the procedure.
  • The result will fully correspond to your preferences.
  • If correction is needed, it can be done without any problems, since you have the gel or varnish used in the manicure in stock.
  • Detachment from time. You can get a manicure at any time convenient for you, regardless of the master’s free time or workload.

Despite many advantages, it has home manicure there are some disadvantages:

  • If you do not have sufficient experience, the procedure can take a very long time, there may be multiple redoings and there is a high probability that you will not be pleased with the end result.
  • Limited selection of shades. As a rule, only a few universal shades are purchased for home manicure, since it makes no sense to buy a whole palette of full-size products.

Now let's talk about professional manicure, why it is good and in what ways it is inferior to home manicure.

The undoubted advantages of a salon manicure:

  • Manicure is performed quickly and professionally, provided that you have found an experienced manicurist.
  • Wide selection of varnish shades, as well as various decorations: rhinestones, sparkles, stickers and more.
  • Possibility to use additional hand care services: massage, paraffin baths, therapeutic wraps, etc.
  • A pleasant atmosphere where you can just relax and chat with the master, get advice on nail care. IN good salons They will always offer you a cup of coffee or tea.

Now let's look at the disadvantages of this manicure:

  • High cost. Sometimes the prices for manicures in decent places are simply exorbitant, but even if you choose a budget salon, the pleasure will still not be cheap.
  • Time dependent. To get to the holidays on the eve of the holidays good master, you need to sign up at least a couple of weeks in advance, which is not always possible.
  • Insufficient sterility of instruments. It is almost impossible to monitor the quality of the treatment, so every time you get a manicure in a salon, you risk your health.
  • There is a possibility that the master will not understand you correctly and your manicure will be completely far from the expected result.

The main reason for choosing a home manicure is the high cost, because not every girl is ready to spend several thousand rubles a month on a manicure. The price of procedures in salons consists of the specialist’s salary, room rental, cost of consumables and other numerous costs. As a rule, salons use expensive professional coatings, as this is considered a kind of indicator of the prestige of the establishment.

For home manicure, it makes no sense to purchase them, because there are many budget analogues on the market. For manicure at home excellent choice will Masura gel polishes, which are sold in both standard and mini formats and at very affordable price. Despite their low cost, they are not inferior in quality and durability to salon products. In addition, on the website masura.ru you can find in the public domain numerous lessons and master classes on manicure, which you can easily do on your own.

Thus, you can have well-groomed hands and nails without huge expenses, so the excuse of lazy girls “it’s too expensive” no longer works. Don't forget that beauty is our main weapon!
