Hello Beauty Patrol! Today I decided to write my review about a lip pencil that I loved for its good quality. As you probably already guessed, this is a pencil from YSL in shade No. 6 Natural.
I took it more than a month ago, and at a very astronomical price. Now, of course, I regret a little about the lateness of the purchase, because now there is a promotion and a good discount on it. So, the pencil that came out to me in 1899 (!) rubles is now on sale for only 1139. I think now is the time to pamper yourself, your beloved :)
The pencil comes in traditional Yves Saint Laurent packaging: a beautiful, golden box with detailed information about the product.
The weight of the rod is quite modest - only 1.1 grams, although for some reason the weight on the websites everywhere is 1.3 grams. This is a small thing, of course, but when you take a pencil for the price of gold, even this difference seems significant.
The design is classic, in the form of an ordinary pencil with a golden metal cap. On the reverse end there is natural color shade. No sharpener included.
Tone No. 6 - natural. This is clear from the very name of the shade - Natural. I specifically wanted to take exactly this shade, since for every day I prefer to use mostly nude lipsticks.
The consistency of the rod is moderately soft, and at the same time not dry at all. Doesn't scratch lips during application. The quality of the wood used in the pencil is very good. It is very pliable, easily and accurately sharpened. The lead does not break or crumble, as often happens with other pencils.
Consumed moderately. If you use it a couple of times a week, you won’t have to sharpen it often. So a precious gram should last for a long time.
Longevity is excellent. For the whole day, the contour practically does not change. Not even in a duet with lipstick best quality of the same brand () it lasts longer than others.
If necessary, the contour can be shaded. The only caveat is that this should be done only after applying lipstick, and with the help of a comfortable brush. Of course, you won’t get a decent ombre with this color, but if you take a darker shade, you can make your lips look simply chic. For beautiful ombre You can experiment with shades 7 and 13 - they are darker, but closer to brown.

A pencil from YSL - it is worth noting its advantages - it is easy to apply, you can easily make both a thin line and a thicker one, I must say that I have never had pencils so easy to apply before.

The main disadvantage, why I have to use it only in complex makeup, when shadows of rich shades are applied to the eyelid and overlap the pencil, is that the pencil simply disappears!
After 2 hours it is treacherously erased in the middle of the eyelid, and then the rest of the “parts” drawn by it fade, and in addition to everything, it is imprinted on the eyelid.
