Although the most expensive piece of furniture is an antique, the magnetic flying bed, introduced in 2006, may be the coolest bed in the world. The bed floats 40 cm off the floor, supports 900 kg of weight and costs $1.6 million.

4. 201-carat Chopard watch

The most expensive chronometer in the world is the dazzling Chopard watch. They are adorned with three heart-shaped diamonds and another 163 carats of white and yellow diamonds – a total of 201 carats. The spring mechanism lifts the precious “hearts”, revealing the dial encrusted with diamonds to the owner’s gaze. In 2000, the watch was sold for $25 million.

3. Badminton office

In 2004, the antique 18th-century cabinet was sold at auction for $36.7 million. This ebony chest of drawers is over 3.5 meters high and has an intricate design, decorated with polished stones. It was commissioned by Charles Henry Somerset, third Duke of Beaufort, when he was 19 years old. It took six years of hard work by thirty craftsmen to create the masterpiece.

2. Wallis Simpson bracelet

A panther bracelet made of onyx and diamonds once belonged to Wallis Simpson, the Duchess of Windsor and the most famous American woman, for whose marriage King Edward VIII abdicated the throne.

In 2010, it was sold at Sotheby's in London for $12.4 million.
