At the meeting of the government, acting Minister of Labor and social development North Ossetia-Alania Igor Kesaev presented a draft republican law that establishes the cost of living for a pensioner for 2019 in order to social supplement towards retirement.

As Igor Kesaev explained, a social supplement is provided for pensioners of the republic whose monthly income does not reach the subsistence level established in the region. In this case, we are talking about the category of citizens who do not have a permanent job.

- The cost of living for 2019 in North Ossetia will be 8,455 rubles. Bodies Pension Fund it is necessary to determine which of the non-working pensioners is entitled to social supplement - said the head of the social department.

For comparison, in 2017 living wage for pensioners in North Ossetia-Alania was 8,410 rubles, in 2018 – 8,064 rubles. In the new year, the amount will increase by 391 rubles.

Igor Kesaev announced that the cost of living will be reflected in the budget Russian Federation for 2019.

- All pensioners whose pension is less than 8,455 thousand rubles will be able to count on an additional payment that will bring their pension to the subsistence level - the minister concluded.

To determine this value, the standard of living of the population and fixed payments established for other categories of citizens living in the region are taken into account. Therefore, for each area this value is calculated individually.

  • living wage for working citizens - 9,651 rubles;

Social allowances

Currently, 209,729 pensioners living in the republic receive state support for old age, of which 138,824 people live in Vladikavkaz. If the actual amount of a citizen’s pension is lower than the minimum established at the regional level, a social supplement is made.

In such cases, the citizen must contact the territorial branch of the Pension Fund and write an application for recalculation. Article 1. Basic concepts used in this Law

The cost of living per capita and for the main socio-demographic groups of the population in the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania is determined quarterly on the basis of the consumer basket and data from the Territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service for the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania (except for the cases provided for in part 3 of this article) on the level of consumer prices for food products and consumer price indices for food products, non-food products and services and expenses for mandatory payments and fees.
